So, I started this health journey on May 10th. It really has been nothing that I’ve been expecting. It has been amazing. I think I should be re-phasing. It was what I was expecting, it just took its own path and what a path it has been!
The key thing I have learned is showing yourself grace.
I know it has been said many times many ways but honestly it is true.
This has given me a chance to really look at how I was talking to my body and my perception of it. I didn’t like this aspect or that aspect. I had been in an adverse relationship with my body for years. This journey is about healing that relationship.
My body can do anything I just need to support it. I’ve moved away from measuring my progress in weight. I still weigh myself every day. I do think it helps with encouragement and figuring out what works best for my body. It is a good thing every morning I look forward to.
I’ve really focused on the health of my body. For example, using a sauna blanket. This one I love by Nushape! My goal is to soak once in the morning and once in the evening for 30 minutes each. Sometimes I make that sometimes I don’t. I listen to my body how I feel everyday to guide me. There is good feedback. Somedays I don’t do both and my body wanted to so the next day I know what to listen for.
When I got my first sauna blanket, I used to think okay I must stay in for 60 minutes. Now if you can do this, I applaud you. But I was using it to hurt my body for not being what I wanted instead of healing it. Now my body craves the 30 minutes. It feels so good to sweat, cleanse and heal. Also, I recently learned sauna blankets are one of the best ways to increase HGH.
Which I had been looking for years for! Who knew I had already found it.
